Barn Find Rare 1965 Bluebird Wanderlodge For Sale

Found a rare vintage American motorhome offered for sale on Craigslist for $12,000 in Portland, Oregon. Sold as an example of a barn find RV, made by Bluebird in 1965 and known as Wanderlodge class A is still in remarkable condition. The motorhome looking for a new owner, over half a century old, but everything still looks promising inside and out.


This 1965 Bluebird Wanderlodge Motorhome is powered by a 491 V8 engine mated with automatic transmission, no words about mechanical issues. The source comes from a minimalist Ad, not a lot of detail and information provided by its owner, but the photographs are quite convincing, as we've seen here without seeing directly, all look great.

The exterior looks solid with signs of normal wear, such as a few peeling paints, but the good thing is no dent or rust shown here, seemed the frame has a good shape overall. The interior looks clean and tidy, hope all amenities still work properly too.


Described as one of the remarkable examples of the rare classic Bluebird Wanderlodge models offered on the market today, it could be the perfect candidate for salvage. Most of his life was spent in the garage, but there is no word on how far it has traveled. If serious, you should come to a closer inspection for an accurate condition.

Up for sale 1965 Bluebird Wanderlodge in excellent condition. It has a strong 491 for industrial engine with a 6 speed Allison Transmission. Its been garages it entire life. I have original manuals and service records. It's hard to find these, and especially in as good condition as this one.
