49,000 Original Miles 1981 US Air Force International Diesel Command Truck with Professional RV Conversion. Affordable price, or buy a new Mercedes or MANN 4wd Super Motorhome for $500,000 new / $280,000 used (plus LOTS of $$$ for insurance, sales tax, loan, etc.) Yes, the M-B will have lots more goodies, nice power windows, auto-leveling jacks and solar panels, etc. but it also cost more than most houses. Want electric step? Auto levelers? PW or extra bunk bed? Want special deep lug tires or a big light bar? Add for minor cost. Customize to your own specs.

This USA Int'l is a Super Toy to take your sons into the outback, not a big "soccer van" for Mom. Or rough it with your buds hunting / fishing, and give them a dry place for dinner when it rains, etc. HEAVY DUTY 2.5 ton chassis (no CDL needed but experienced driver recommended) with serious heavy duty commercial gears, brakes, steering, differentials, etc. Never abused, always light duty RV and mild "computer office truck" military use. Excellent condition / very reliable.

Drive anywhere right now, no problems. Excellent maintenance records and condition, owned and operated by retired Class 1 CDL driver, mechanic. Interior has a 3,000 watt inverter, microwave oven, sinks, toilet, shower, AC, two single fold out bed platforms and lots of floor space, and storage space under the bed frame. Dometic refrigerator (not shown) is electric only, but propane section can be fixed, OR take additional $200 price REDUCTION and buy your own refrigerator of choice. RV has 30 gallon fresh water tank under the front bed, and 15 gallon waste tank with dump valve. HOT WATER: I installed a nice propane hot water system for hot showers about 5 years ago, but I have never used it. Ready to use - see white propane tank on back of truck. Note: One OK single mattress included if you wish. Or buy a couple of new ones. Also, an additional spare tire is available (2 spares) if you wish (free).

9 liter International V8 diesel, no turbo, excellent maintenance and runs perfect. 10 MPG, governed RPM at 61 miles per hour. Recent lube, oil, filters. Run all day every day. This is a true commercial diesel and will go for 500,000 miles easy.

Exterior includes dual fuel tanks holding 72 gallons, excellent 6,000 watt Onan gas generator, class 4 tow receiver and pintle hook, air over hydraulic brakes, 5 speed manual transmission, high-low range 4wd transfer case, 315 80 R22.5 tires for serious high clearance - all have +50% tread, dual batteries, Holley black fuel transfer pump, solid roof with Henry's white reflective coating. Dual batteries recently replaced. Tools included for tire changes - only used once in 10 years. Also includes air hose with connection to truck air tank for truck or bike tire pressure, etc.

UNUSUAL FEATURE: The inside rear dual wheels are 9:00 x 20 and DO NOT TOUCH THE GROUND, unless the truck is in mud or snow (also provide INSTANT rear spare tire). Never in snow, but they have helped in some mud and deep, soft sand a couple of times. Observers often tell me I have a rear tire "problem", haha.

Power? I towed a 50 foot offshore race boat from Clearwater, Florida to Las Vegas. Not fast, but moved with interstate truck traffic and made good time.

I bought this truck from the US Air Force auction in 2007 with 16,000 original miles. The RV conversion took one year. Everywhere I go I get compliments. The truck is so well known in Yosemite that they recognize it at the toll booth coming in and at the campsites. Ditto in Zion. I'm am now 71, I have an eye issue, and it is time to pass this on to another owner. If you want total convenience to camp anywhere, whenever, in comfort, this is a great vehicle. The mechanicals are in great condition because I keep my vehicles in perfect running condition.

The tachometer does not work - I could not find a replacement, but did I not look too much. It is RPM governed so a tach is just for looks. There is no AC in the driver cab, but I do have a complete system that goes with the truck. If AC is wanted, I would suggest just get a new, modern aftermarket bolt on unit. Brakes are like new. Clutch is excellent because I am a soft shifter. Exhaust and driveline is excellent. It does not burn any oil. New valve cover gaskets just installed. Paint is military grade and super tough, but a bit faded, some chipping. Driver's bench seat just redone. Recent lube, oil, filters.

This is a full RV conversion so the insurance is cheap, no commercial CDL is needed. It sounds like a big diesel and you are way above all the 4 wheelers. It is just 25 feet long and will fit into most camping sites. Also, it is fully mechanical injection - no electronics to mess up. And no DEF additive needed.

This is a true get away rig. Tow a boat or go hunting, or just RV all over the country this summer. Great local Military Parade Truck for 4th of July, etc. Ready to go. Pick up in Vegas and keep on going. Reduced to $23,000 / Best Offer. Several offers declined - just a bit too low. Lots more photos available.

Note to Out of Town or International Buyer: Truck can be stored here until it is convenient for you to pick it up. Nevada registration and insurance assistance is also available.
