We found this one antique Spartan Executive Mansion trailer offered by the Spartan Aircraft Company in the 50s. It's a unique trailer, built in 1957 is 45 feet long, currently sold as a project, and it could be the perfect bone to be restored. The exterior looks cool and in great shape, but serious interior work is needed, maybe a nice backyard office, a charming small home, or bring it back to as it should be, all is the potential to fit as you want to be.

The Spartan was listed on Craigslist about a few days ago and was online when we posted it here. All look promising in photos without words about major issues. If you're interested, coming closer is a must to avoid miss calculation.

1952 Airfloat Land Yacht Travel Trailer Would Be Perfect To Restore

Found this vintage 30 feet long travel trailer offered for sale on Craigslist in Lodi, California. As shown here is a fully aluminum travel trailer Land Yacht model made in 1952 by Airfloat Coach Manufacturing Co, over a half-century is still useable with a single axle. Very unique, it could be the perfect bone to restore, has a lot of potentials to transform into a great comfortable tiny house.

The Airfloat was listed 29 days ago on Craigslist and was still online when we posted it here, all looks solid overall. If you're interested, a closer inspection is a must.

Built-in 1952, it's an Airfloat Land Yacht that retains its original trim, old amenities still on it, in decent condition for its age, without rot or major issues mentioned, and looking for a new owner. The Airfloat is a big name in its period, the Land Yacht model is believed to have been in production since the early 40s and ended in the late 50s, and this is one of the custom options with longer of about 30 feet.

Built in 1957 it's an Airfloat Cruiser model, well-maintained, everything is in excellent condition for its age, and it's ready for a new owner. The trailer was listed about a month ago and the auction ended a few days ago, with about $50,000 for the last bid of 51 bids.

Is believed Airfloat production started in 1935 and ended in 1957 and the factory location is in Los Angeles, California. In its day, this enormous trailer was the pinnacle of elegance and amenities in travel trailers in the 1950s.

Old Diesel Pusher RV Conversion

Old Diesel Pusher RV Conversion, 1948 GM TDH-3610

Found this one on Craigslist, interesting old diesel boost RV conversion based on an extremely rare trainer, only three of which have ever been built by GM, and one of them is being offered here, claims the owner. The 1948 GM TDH-3610 bus was built as a regular transit bus operating in the post-war era, 30 feet long, and still with its original diesel engine backed up by an original automatic transmission. Only 17000 miles since the converted work was done in the past.

Not for a poor guy or newbie, this 68-year coach still brings its original 2-stroke 4-71 Detroit Diesel engine, for sure sounds terrific to be heard. "Old Diesel Pusher RV Conversion" is not as cheap as imagined, rarity makes it have value, but as usual older machinery are burning much fuel makes higher operational costs, and is not easy to care for. Hard to find spare parts and workshops that can handle if there are problems during the trip making it less suitable for long journeys in the current or future.

Not like a classic car were out just for fun, gatherings, or event show, more authenticity is more valuable. The motorhome is a completely different thing, you will invest a lot of money and take a long time to modernize this one, but we think is worth it if you're one mechanic expert and want to be different in the parking lot.

Great appearance. It's great to see her running down the highway wearing a lot of modern equipment inside and out, it could be worse if left to languish or rot in the yard. So sad if it happens, hopefully, they will find a camping enthusiast with a big budget and a better sense of interior design so that it is comfortable to live in and doesn't seem as creepy as in the old house, as it looks today.

The Coach was posted about a month ago on Craigslist and is still online when we writing here, for $35000 OBO in Graham, Washington.

Found a unique RV that was built in the late 50s by professional aircraft designer David Peterson. He created this RV when he couldn't bring the boat during the RVing season because pulling a travel trailer. In 1959, the Chevy Corvair was offered on the market and he buy one to take in a large garage he rented previously, and four months later the first Ultra Van was born.

A Corvair has evolved into a class A motorhome with about 3,000 pounds in weight, 22 feet long, 8 feet wide with full 6’2″ stand-up headroom, a total of 8′ tall from wheels to the top. It has all amenities as usual Class A RV had, including a large bedroom in the back, a full galley, a bathroom, etc. Finally, David Peterson can bring his boat during the RVing season.

Similar to airplane construction, the Ultra Van is built as a true monocoque structure, without chassis, all constructed with aluminum ribs covered with riveted sheet aluminum all around the body also fiberglass shell for the aerodynamic front and sloppy rear, with those bumpers are made of foam.

Seller Says
1981 W Reg – Peugeot J9 Campervan – Coach-built and in simply stunning condition. They just don’t exist in this condition even in France and according to Ian Kirkwood of clubpeugeotuk is the best one he knows of.

1600cc Petrol engine and a 4 speed box chug Mater along and he’s a lot nicer to drive than the VW Vans we’ve had in the past. As you can see the condition of the van he is beautiful and everything from the exterior, the interior and the underside is just fab!
Have a peruse of the sections laid out below and it’ll give you a very good overview of the condition and the features of the van. There is has plenty of space, far more than in a VW and it’s very civilised.

Plenty of paperwork in French going back over the years and hand written notes from the old French couple that used to own him. We’ve put him on UK plates and he has a UK V5 and very recent MOT, but the old French plates are still with the van and copies of the Certificate d’immatriculation.

The van has a recent service and also a new Leisure battery.

Ready to go and be enjoyed and someone will have lots of fun this summer with Mater we’re sure.

Value wise you would have to spend double this to get the equivalent VW Bay Window van and this offers something a little different to the crowd.
